A Servey on the Environmental Illumination in Interiors at Ewha Campus (Ⅰ)

Abstract
|

|
the relationship among contrast sensitivity, average luminance level and the illumiation range in interiors is fundamental to good vision. It os affected by glare both from daylight and electric light, and it is due to a complex inter-reaction of different parts of the retina. and espicially, it is necessary to establish quantitatively the shield-conditions which involve internal sun controls including curtains, roller blinds and louvre blinds for modification of illumination excees, and artificial mechanism concerning the light-sources, illumination method and reflectors as supplements for illumination-shortage in interiores.
For two years, basic measuring concerning the illumination and luminance in the special interiors which are classified as the various functional vision-work has been camed out.
The results showed that the optical mechanism on derivations of th most suitable illumination in interiors depends on the function of windows, reflectance of wells, selection of Curtains and kinds of lighting, and in this paper, a few methods to provide the most suitable illumination environment of interiors are proposed.
